Since Keri's Been Gone

Photobucket

For all you Keri Hilson aficionados, a track that was heard many times over by fans but was nowhere to be found has finally leaked on to the web. This little 1:30 sound clip is a cover of Kelly Clarkson's smash hit "Since U Been Gone". During Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveShow’s world tour a few years back this was played during intermissions with the addition of some Timbaland vocal effects. The style of the song is definitely the 2006 Timbaland we all loved. The sound clip that has leaked sounds a bit naked and less hype compared to the one played during the concert. Despite that fact it's a good listen for those who like Keri Hilson.

Who's Really the Ish, Kanye vs. Lil Jon?

Photobucket

A few months ago the DJ Class Baltimore club track made it's way onto the web. It created some buzz because it marked the first time Lil Jon actually went into the studio to rap i.e. make noise over a B-more dance track. Now Kanye has lent his autotune voice to the song. Kanye's voice sans the autotune would have made a better song, it's just overused. I wonder if T-Pain will still have a career, after all these artists have abused what is his signature style but that all together is a new topic. As for the C.S. view on the two songs, Kanye's version is more laid-back and Lil Jon's is more energy filled. We're going to have to go with Lil Jon's crazy attitude, it's just aggressive and fun and that's what Baltimore club music is all about.

Those Dancing Days

Photobucket

Those Dancing Days, an all-female indie pop band from Sweden, has been creating great music since 2005. In 2007 they released the Those Dancings Days EP to much praise and respect. The following year their debut album In Our Space Hero Suits was released in the UK with a fair reception. Now, in 2009, they haven't made much of a splash but by luck I came across their song "Those Dancing Days". The song was similar to a cold shower, just that refreshing. The frantic drum beating, rhythmic vocals and overall summer vibe keeps this song on repeat. Hopefully they get the attention they deserve and you can check them out on Myspace.

"My Name Wale and I Came to Kill It"

Photobucket

Wale, another one of those promising '09 hip-hop artists, has finally released his hype track in anticipation of his upcoming album Attention Deficit. Cool and Dre produced the party startin' beat to back Wale's boastful style. Oh and we cannot forget Lady GaGa, she's the perfect addition additon to the song, she is really working hard to be up there, get um GaGa. Check out the CDQ below

You Better Get Enough of CuDi While You Can

In spite of CuDi's recent claim that he was retiring he is still hard at work on the promo trail for his upcoming LP, Man on the Moon: The Guardians. His whole reason for retiring is that Hollywood is destroying his relationship with his industry friends on top of him completing the goals he set out to do. Hollywood has an infamous reputation of being like some X-rated Gossip Girl scene. Fans were almost enraged but we totally respect his decision, that's if it's his final decision, because CuDi is just a regular guy working hard at what he loves. He's not in it for the fame or to be anyone's role model. Sad to say this but that part of American culture where people look for or even allow entertainers to be role models for themselves is pure crap, especially with the lifestyle most of them live.

height="340">

Kid Cudi's performances, as seen above, was nothing short of good entertainment. The songs are mellow and smooth but he still manages to make it hype but what do you expect CuDi knows what he's doing. If he stays in the game no doubt he'll keep fans going crazy but if not then he'll still be just as good.

This Thing Called 'Indefinite Hiatus'

Hello there, it seems like a century and some when we make a new post nowadays. I've mentioned in the past that we were doing some things, met with countless delays, but it's coming along better now and when we return we'll be back just as strong as before or stronger. What I will not do is mention a specific date 'cause it's bad enough our posting has been this scarce. So until then be safe and take care.

Her World is Perfect Now

Photobucket

So there you have it, after all the many push backs we have the leak of Keri's album, In a Perfect World... This just makes it 100% believable that on March 24 her album will finally be in stores. From the beginning of 2008 demo tracks and completed ones were released to the public sort of spoiling the anticipation of this album. So it was refreshing when the final track list was released with a lot of unheard songs. As for the actual music Keri delivers with lots of ballads & bangers, as the album should be called. Her fans will definitely be satisfied and will have the rest of the mainstream crowd hooked. This album would have hit a bit harder if it wasn't for a good amount of the material being spoiled from so long ago but besides that In a Perfect World... is worth some attention. Remember to purchase it in stores MARCH 24.
