I was reluctant to post on this artist, Shontelle Layne, better known by her stage name Shontelle is a Bajan singer/songwriter and rapper from Saint James, Barbados. She is popular in the Caribbean for her hit "Colours", realeased in 2005, which is a collaboration with another Bajan artist, Natahlee. She also wrote Alison Hinds' 2006 hit "Roll It Gal". She appeared in the music video for the re-worked "Roll It" performed by J-Status featuring Rihanna and herself, from 2006. Shontelle was recently signed to Syndicated Rhythm Productions/Universal Motown Records. The SRP label is run by the duo of Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers, the same group that led Rihanna to stardom. She may not have the sex appeal that Rihanna has but she wins in the talent area hands down.
Her debut album Shontelligece drops November 18.

Aston Martin One-77 - New Images
Announced a couple of months back, the One-77, expecting to possess a 7.3-liter V12 engine pumping out 700+hp, has already been sold out. Details are dim and distribution will not begin until late 2009 but the carbon fibre chassis alongside aluminium body panels has been confirmed along with some new images courtesy of 925.nl after the jump. The bond flick should have postponed filming just to use this.

Last week I posted R&B/Reggae singer Kevin Michael's remix with T.I. in "Live Your Life" and now he's covering a current #1 single. He puts his spin on Britney's Womanizer in a track called Vocalizer. In the track he takes aim at all "so-called musicians" who have all the image but no talent and rely on technology. This song leaked early yesterday and already is getting mixed reviews mostly on the negative side. I personally love this track. It's more lighthearted than the rest and took a lot less time for me to put it on repeat. The beat comes equipped with robot sound effects, synthesizer stabs and of course auto tune vocals. "R. Crumb's Underground" Exhibition
R. Crumb, is an American artist and illustrator recognized for the distinctive style of his drawings and his critical, satirical, subversive view of the American mainstream. In his latest exhibiton titled “R. Crumb’s Underground” the artist’s life-works including recent pieces done with his wife and fellow cartoonist Aline Kominsky-Crumb are displayed beginning with his career back in San Francisco. The exhibition featuring cartoons and more is taking place until December 7th at Philadelphia’s Institute of Contemporary Art.
Kevin Michael is Livin' Your Life
Kevin Michael's debut self-titled album has been out for a little over a year but he has gone and done a very smart thing that surely will get you familiar with him. Being labelmates with T.I. he went and did a remix of "Live Your Life". With Kevin he has all sorts of androgyny goin' on with his voice but that's what makes him original and not to mention he's smooth with it. It was refreshin' to hear this today, tired of Rihanna.

I've played Guitar Hero once with my little cousin and that's all it took for me to like it. Now the team behind the game has brought together some powerhouses from the sports' world for their commercial. In the vid, Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod, Tony Hawk, Michael Phelps and Kobe Bryant pay tribute to the famous scene in Risky Business featuring Tom Cruise. Kobe rocks the mic, A-Rod and Phelps rip it up on guitar, and Tony Hawk slides in on a skateboard to play the drums. The vid was directed by Brett Ratner, who most recently directed the music videos for Miley Cyrus’s “7 Things” and Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body”. Guitar Hero: World Tour is in stores starting this Sunday, October 26. The game features a newly redesigned guitar controller, drum kit (with cymbals!) and a mic. FIIIYYAAAAAAAAA!

The iPhone Killer?
Ever since the iPhone's release, every phone company is trying to topple Apple's baby by releasing phones with touchscreen capabilities to earn the title of "iPod Killer". Well if anybody has a shot at earning that title it's going to be Blackberry with it's new touch screen device the Blackberry Storm. Taking advantage of all the functions that has made the smartphone maker so popular, RIM also looks to re-invent the touchscreen with their new “click-able” screen offering a tactual feel notably absent from any other phone maker. It's expected release date is sometime in November exclusive to the Verizon network.
New Keri
"After Love" off of Diddy's "Press Play" is where I first heard the sweet voice that is Keri Hilson. But she's been writing songs for artists for a long time; Runaway Love - Mary J., Gimme More - Britney Spears amongst others. Ever since then I've been a fan. Fast forward and the Timbaland protége is getting ready for the release of her first album "In a Perfect World..." on Dec. 9. Her first single "Energy" failed to get any attention but she's back with the video premiere of her second single "Return the Favor" produced and featuring Timbaland. Now Timbaland's recycled beats are getting tired, his year was 2006 and now he needs to go on a hiatus to regenerate that FIYA of his. On the contrary Hilson still manages to add some spark to the video. Check the video out below.

Over the years my political views have become less conservative and more liberal and I think Obama is the right choice for change. MTV interviewed Lil Wayne the other day where he revealed he is rereleasing "Tha Carter III" ALREADY! The difference with this rerelease from other artists' own is it will contain ALL NEW songs. Well he releases enough tracks to come out with 5 editions of one album don't ya think. The album will drop around Christmas time, check the video out below.
