I was reluctant to post on this artist, Shontelle Layne, better known by her stage name Shontelle is a Bajan singer/songwriter and rapper from Saint James, Barbados. She is popular in the Caribbean for her hit "Colours", realeased in 2005, which is a collaboration with another Bajan artist, Natahlee. She also wrote Alison Hinds' 2006 hit "Roll It Gal". She appeared in the music video for the re-worked "Roll It" performed by J-Status featuring Rihanna and herself, from 2006. Shontelle was recently signed to Syndicated Rhythm Productions/Universal Motown Records. The SRP label is run by the duo of Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers, the same group that led Rihanna to stardom. Above you can check out her first video for her single "T-Shirt" and the video premiere of her second single "Battle Cry". She may not have the sex appeal that Rihanna has but she wins in the talent area hands down.
Her debut album Shontelligece drops November 18.

Aston Martin One-77 - New Images
Announced a couple of months back, the One-77, expecting to possess a 7.3-liter V12 engine pumping out 700+hp, has already been sold out. Details are dim and distribution will not begin until late 2009 but the carbon fibre chassis alongside aluminium body panels has been confirmed along with some new images courtesy of 925.nl after the jump. The bond flick should have postponed filming just to use this.

SEXY and Expensive Adriana Lima!
Adriana Lima sports a $5,000,000.00, 1500 ct. diamond bra for Victoria's Secret. I mean does any guy actually buy this as a gift for his lady, RIDICULOUS!
Would You Still Be a Star Without that Vocoder?
Last week I posted R&B/Reggae singer Kevin Michael's remix with T.I. in "Live Your Life" and now he's covering a current #1 single. He puts his spin on Britney's Womanizer in a track called Vocalizer. In the track he takes aim at all "so-called musicians" who have all the image but no talent and rely on technology. I'll say he's got guts to do a track as he hasn't made a name for himself yet. If you want to hear more of him check out his MYSPACE.

Robocop
This song leaked early yesterday and already is getting mixed reviews mostly on the negative side. I personally love this track. It's more lighthearted than the rest and took a lot less time for me to put it on repeat. The beat comes equipped with robot sound effects, synthesizer stabs and of course auto tune vocals. Check it out!
Coldest Winter (Mastered Version)
Here is the third leaked track from Kanye's "808's & Heartbreak". This one is by far the most personal from Kanye. It follows the other tracks' styles; slow paced, auto-tune and tribal drums. A good listen!

Kevin Michael is Livin' Your Life
Kevin Michael's debut self-titled album has been out for a little over a year but he has gone and done a very smart thing that surely will get you familiar with him. Being labelmates with T.I. he went and did a remix of "Live Your Life". With Kevin he has all sorts of androgyny goin' on with his voice but that's what makes him original and not to mention he's smooth with it. It was refreshin' to hear this today, tired of Rihanna.
Guitar Hero: World Tour Comm.
I've played Guitar Hero once with my little cousin and that's all it took for me to like it. Now the team behind the game has brought together some powerhouses from the sports' world for their commercial. In the vid, Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod, Tony Hawk, Michael Phelps and Kobe Bryant pay tribute to the famous scene in Risky Business featuring Tom Cruise. Kobe rocks the mic, A-Rod and Phelps rip it up on guitar, and Tony Hawk slides in on a skateboard to play the drums. The vid was directed by Brett Ratner, who most recently directed the music videos for Miley Cyrus’s “7 Things” and Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body”. Guitar Hero: World Tour is in stores starting this Sunday, October 26. The game features a newly redesigned guitar controller, drum kit (with cymbals!) and a mic. FIIIYYAAAAAAAAA!
SNL Weekend Update Thursdays
Tina Fey was back last night as Sarah Palin and Will Ferrell made a guest appearance as President Bush. These SNL people are spot on with their impersonations. I was crackin up like mad last night.
Atozzio
Atozzio is an up and coming R&B singer I've been hearing a lot of. Here is his track Critical Condition produced by Polow da Don. Polow's productions are always dratic and have a dance feel to it. Def. check this one out.
SWAGGA SWAGGA SWAGGA...The next Bling Bling
Okay so now that everyone has caught on to this word "SWAGGA" they feel the need to make a song about it. To me Soulja Boy defines this generation's need to have new all the time that anyone can become an entertainer. With that said I'm gonna go on the hippocritical front and admit that although the lyrics are crap I can't deny the melody. Here is Soulja Boy's video for "Turn My Swag On".
The Tide Is High But I'm... Yea u Get the Point
First it was Nicole Scherzinger, then Rihanna and now Keri Hilson. Here is Kardinal Offishal's video for Numba 1(Tide Is High) feat. Keri Hilson.
Motorola's New Luxury Phone,THE AURA
This phone is a revamp of an older Motorola phone model. Here's an excerpt of the specs:
"AURA features the world’s first circular display with 16 million colors and 300 dpi resolution.
The display is covered with Grade 1, 62-carat sapphire crystal lens, one of the most scratch-resistant materials on earth, and the housing is crafted from stainless steel that is electro- and hand polished, chemically etched, and PVD coated. The handset has an assisted-opening blade that is comprised of a Swiss-made, custom-engineered rotating mechanism with 130 precision ball bearings and custom Tungsten Carbide Coated Gears.
To separate the phone from the full, we should tell you that the AURA sports quad-Band GSM 850/900/1800/1900, EDGE, a 2 MP Fixed Focus camera, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR with A2DP, text and email messaging, multimedia playback, and a yet to be named open source browser. It is expected to launch worldwide at the beginning of Q4 2008."
New Lily♫
Lily Allen, premiered her brand new forthcoming single, entitled "Everyone's At It," on her official Myspace page yesterday. The trendsetter shot to instant-fame when her debut single, Smile, reached No. 1 on the UK Singles chart back in July of 2006. Proving she was here to stay, Allen served up another hit single, LDN. Under constant scrutiny from the media, Lily proves on her new single [Everyone's At It] she's not about to let tabloid attacks interfere with her art. This is to say it's a solid effort but not a homerunner.
The iPhone Killer?
Ever since the iPhone's release, every phone company is trying to topple Apple's baby by releasing phones with touchscreen capabilities to earn the title of "iPod Killer". Well if anybody has a shot at earning that title it's going to be Blackberry with it's new touch screen device the Blackberry Storm. Taking advantage of all the functions that has made the smartphone maker so popular, RIM also looks to re-invent the touchscreen with their new “click-able” screen offering a tactual feel notably absent from any other phone maker. It's expected release date is sometime in November exclusive to the Verizon network.
New Keri
"After Love" off of Diddy's "Press Play" is where I first heard the sweet voice that is Keri Hilson. But she's been writing songs for artists for a long time; Runaway Love - Mary J., Gimme More - Britney Spears amongst others. Ever since then I've been a fan. Fast forward and the Timbaland protége is getting ready for the release of her first album "In a Perfect World..." on Dec. 9. Her first single "Energy" failed to get any attention but she's back with the video premiere of her second single "Return the Favor" produced and featuring Timbaland. Now Timbaland's recycled beats are getting tired, his year was 2006 and now he needs to go on a hiatus to regenerate that FIYA of his. On the contrary Hilson still manages to add some spark to the video. Check the video out below.
Hush
Being part American I have been following this election like nothing else. Over the years my political views have become less conservative and more liberal and I think Obama is the right choice for change. Here is a new track from Usher featuring snippets of Obama's speeches. Is it me or are all of Usher's unreleased material better than his semi-crap that's out on the market?
Lady GaGa
I first heard of Lady GaGa this past summer and was instantly hooked on to her lead single "Just Dance". With the American release of "The Fame" approaching on the 28th of October she is finally starting to garner that mainstream attention. I've had the Canadian release of "The Fame" on my iPod from August and majority of the album is full of tracks that can be put on repeat. She is adding two new tracks for the American release, "Starstruck" featuring Space Cowboy & Flo Rida and "Paper Gangsta". I prefer the latter but they're both good. If you're an album buyer go out and support her, remember October 28. Below you can listen to the songs and also is the video premiere for "Poker Face".

WEEEZY UPDATE
MTV interviewed Lil Wayne the other day where he revealed he is rereleasing "Tha Carter III" ALREADY! The difference with this rerelease from other artists' own is it will contain ALL NEW songs. Well he releases enough tracks to come out with 5 editions of one album don't ya think. The album will drop around Christmas time, check the video out below.
What Happens Here Stays Here♫
Here's a new one by Usher produced by Timbaland and The Clutch. Lovin' the instrumental!

Chanel Mobile Art Tour
I don't stay on top of the fashion scene but I like art and when I see good art I give it my attention. Fashion house Chanel is doing this mobile tour of this structure below, designed by architect Zaha Hadid and featuring works by 20 artists worldwide. I think it's great that they pick up this architectural beauty to carry throughout many cities around the world and admission is free. Click the READ MORE link below for more images.
