We don't usually report on public figures' deaths or birthdays but we here at C.S. were fans of Aaliyah way before we even knew what broadband internet was let alone a blog to report her on. Today the 16th of January happens to be her birthday which would have made her 30. Everytime I see an article about her I always wonder where she would stand in today's music industry, whether or not she would hold up to the Rihannas, Beyonces and Ciaras , if she would have left it by now, if she would still be under Timbaland's musical wing, either way her death was a shock. She's still in our memories.
