Kanye Didn't Forget the Ladies

As the days pass more and more images are released from the collaboration between Kanye West and Louis Vuitton. The first image above is the hi-top design from the male's sneaker line and the following two images are the sneakers from the female line. It's cool to see high-end clothing brands make more casual clothes that the younger generation would wear everyday instead of the over the top art infused pieces which arouse too many questions.

Drake Just May Be Unstoppable

Photobucket

Drake is one of those up-and-coming hip-hop artists who continuously keeps it fresh because of his eclectic taste in music. He remixed one of Lykke Li's songs, which is suprising 'cause you would question if a hip-hop artist even knew who Lykke Li was. He does this song justice and Weezy of course does his good work.

The Killers "Spaceman" Video Premiere

This could only be a Killers' video. Uniquely odd and flamboyant in its execution.

Barack Parodies Beyonce's "Single Ladies"

Animal Collective "My Girls" = Genius

I spotted this one over at Kanye's blog. I try hard to find new music a little to the left of mainstream central so it's cool when you stumble upon such great artists like Animal Collective. The video is fresh and innovative and the song is alternative/electronica at its best.

Kanye West for Louis Vuitton... All Red

Photobucket
Via: Kanye's Blog

Earlier this month Kanye West had people going crazy on his blog and other blogs alike when he leaked a photo of a sample sneaker of his collaboration with prestigious fashion brand Louis Vuitton. Then the other day over in Paris at the Louis Vuitton show it was unveiled to the public. The one unveiled was all red, one of two of my favorite colors. The shoe looks fresh I must say, I would go right out and buy it but for right now Chet is not paying Louis Vuitton prices. All in all Kanye really seems to be into this fashion thing and not doing it as a mere hobby. I 'm telling you, DREAM BIG and WORK at it and it will come tru. The press release for the sneaker is below.

PARIS — Marc Jacobs and the Louis Vuitton men’s studio director Paul Helbers have some design competition this season. Kanye West, who was sitting front row at the Vuitton show, has designed a line of five LV sneakers. Only one design, above, was featured in the show — a monochromatic midtop with no frills, save for a quilted flap in the back, all the easier to tuck pants into. “The inspiration came from a jacket with a huge collar in the movie ‘Dune,’ ” West says. “Most sneakers focus on the tongue, so I wanted to do something different.” West knows whereof he speaks: he says he has no idea how many shoes he owns, but he does know that he routinely needs to send shipments off to storage. The LV-meets-Kanye kicks will be available at Louis Vuitton stores in June.

Christina Aguilera

Photobucket

The HQ of "Falling In Love Again" leaked. It's from The Spirit soundtrack. This song is not what you would expect with a title this. A pop ballad may come to mind but this has a more electronic alternative vibe to it. Her fourth album due for a summer release is to have a very futuristic sound. I'm asking that this "new" sound fits somewhere in between this song and" Keeps Gettin' Better/ Dynamite" because both on their own are listenable but nothing to brag about.

Not Anymore

Photobucket

Last week we posted the premiere for Letoya Luckett's new song "Not Anymore". If you didn't know, Ne-Yo is the one who penned the track. Now he is covering his own song. Why must he do that, if he writes a song for someone let them have it, he was compensated for it. It's not like this is some track floating around, this is to be a lead single from the person's album. This goes back to "Irreplaceable" when he was trying to take all the glory for it, eventhough that shows just how obnoxious he is he had to do it. Beyonce was giving false information that she was the originator of the song.

She has Control Over Me

OH CRAP! Say it isn't so, Keri Hilson has managed to make me anticipate her upcoming work. This track is a BANGER. Although this track is a demo meant for Rihanna I think it fits Keri's voice better.  If this is the sound for Rihanna's next album I'm sure it will be a mega success.

For a rapper Flo Rida makes excellent mainstream r&b music. This track is heat.

"...But I Know How You Feel"

I heard a snippet of this song late last year on Youtube. Polow Da Don never ceases to amaze me. This track is not perfect but it is fire for sure, can't wait for Graffiti.

He's Enchanted

Usher is bringin the good stuff. This track is just good and the Indian influence is getting tired. He should consider reinventing him, everything is SEX, SEX, SEX.

P!nk "Please Don't Leave" Video Premiere

Finallly a video for P!nk's, in my opinion, best track off of Funhouse. If a girl sang the song to me like that I'd Stay.

We Fell to Earth

Photobucket

We Fell to Earth, comprised of Richard File and Wendy Rae Fowler, are a musical group whose music fits their name. Their sound is something from a different planet. Give them a listen and I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

"We Fell To Earth utilizes a number of different live and electronic techniques in their self-titled debut. Guided by the diverse sounds of Ennio Morricone, Silver Apples and krautrockers like Can and Faust, the duo drifts through different dimensions by layering mesmerizing rhythms and extraterrestrial tones."

A Taste of What's to Come from Leona

Photobucket

Hot off the success of her debut album Spirit Leona Lewis is in and out of the studio creating the foundation for her sophomore album to be released this November. Demos, from left and right, are being directed towards Leona's people to be included on her album and with that, one has leaked.

This one is titled "Photograph" produced by The Jam. It is sung by Jordan Omley, whose voice gives the listener a feel of what it would sound like if Leona was singing. Based on the sound of "Photograph" it seems the label is sticking with the formula used with "Bleeding Love" to keep the momentum going for Leona. For those of you who didn't know, Beyonce's "Halo" was actually written for Leona so expect that mid-tempo/R&B vibe throughout her new album.

Bobby V.

Here are two newer leaked tracks from Bobby Valentino. Both are def. sizzlin'. I thought his last album Special Occassion was overlooked, it definitely contained hits, especially "Anonymous". This time around he's still delivering the good material but once again he may get the overlooked treatment. Check out these songs.
