In Music News...

Overseas in the U.S., Inaugural weekend is firing up with a handful of official balls to be hosted by U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. Many of mainstream America's finest have been tapped to perform at these events... Just to go a little off topic Obama has had a worldwide affect, one reason is, so many Bahamians are traveling to the U.S. just to stand on the side of the road in hopes of catching a glimpse of the Cadillac.

So for awhile now it's been known Queen Beyonce (you might as well give her the title cause everyone gives her what she wants) will be performing at least once in the ceremonies for President Obama. Now it's been confirmed that she is to sing for Obama’s first Inaugural dance. GAD DAMN, what an honor that is and at such a young age, I must give it to you Matthew Knowles you've made an icon. The song she is to sing is being kept under wraps. She will also be performing along with Jay-Z, Will.i.am, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Shakira, Sting, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder and Maroon 5 at the Inaugural Neighborhood Ball airing live on ABC on Tuesday night.

UPDATE: Beyonce herself has confirmed she will be singing "At Last".

Now on to the younger generation, the Disney kids that is. Usher, Bow Wow & Rihanna are a few of many entertainers to perform at Disney’s “Kids’ Inaugural: We Are The Future,” concert. The concert, which will be hosted by Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden (Vice President elect Joe Biden's wife), and will also honor military families.

Jennifer Hudson, who everyone had their fingers crossed to sing The National Anthem for Obama, will make her return on Feb. 1st at Superbowl XLIII(43). This is great, I may not keep up with American Football like I do my with my music and entertainment but I never miss a Superbowl, it's just unnatural for me. I'll be looking forward to watching J. Hud. put tears into the viewers' eyes.
